The problem with a wider handlebar is choosing the right width. The Azonic World Force 09 handlebar eliminates the guesswork of selecting the right one.

Tech Features: The Azonic Force 09 handlebars have double-butted 2014-T6 aluminum and are designed for downhill abuse. These bars are available in either 31.8 or 25.4 millimeter clamp sizes. For better grip adhesion, the bars are bead-blasted with a polished grip surface. The bars have a 39-degree sweep and the black version we tested weighed 312g uncut. The bar is available in stock in a length of 76 cm and is marked for ease of trimming. Azonic can be reached at

After the thrashing, the bars bend and sweep will be spot on if the bar is 76cm wide. They are too wide for most people. That’s what we did and it was a surprise to us. They were to be trimmed after a few hours at their full width. It never happened. Riders ranged from five-footet to six-footet. Smaller pilots might feel compelled to ride a bit more off the sides. The grips felt right from the start. A rider who used to have bars that were 69cm wide felt that 30cm was too big until the second run. The bar is more comfortable the further you go, and the harder the downhill course the better. It was used with an Azonic Barretta stem and it never fell off. For those who are unsure whether to use a tape measure, the marks at the ends of each bar are helpful. Azonic’s generous width gives it the edge you need to try different things. Don’t be surprised if they are left alone.
