RACE JHK DIRECTLY FROM HOME

MotionBased Technologies creates location-based software by using GPS data. MotionBased, the company’s flagship product is designed to make mountain biking easier. It allows users to track their performance, analyze their workouts, map routes and share their experiences with others. MotionBased can be accessed via the internet and works with all consumer GPS devices.

This is how it works. The rider simply attaches their GPS device to the bike and records detailed information such as elevation, average speed, max speed, weather, miles, and more. Mountain bikers can track a ride using a GPS device and connect it to a computer to upload the data to MotionBased. MotionBased uses complex algorithms to crunch numbers and calculate distance, speed, time, and elevation metrics. All data is automatically retrieved from MotionBased.com and sent to riders’ personal email at MotionBased.com. They can then name, classify and add comments to each activity. Every activity performed by an athlete is saved in a personal online digest. It is also added to TrailNetwork, which is a growing collection of routes from the MotionBased community. Customers can view their workouts online and share them with coaches, friends, and other competitors. TrailNetwork members can use it to find similar routes within their area that meet the requirements of a National or Sea Otter event. You can also race your friend on the local trail on different days. You can then download the information and see who was fastest.

The Sea Otter Classic will introduce the mapping service starting April 14. MotionBased says,
