12 HOUR TEMECULA

By Ron Sawicki

Monique Pua Swicki, the current Marathon and 24-Hour National Champion, entered this race thinking that it would be a great training day. Not even close! Louise Kobin won the race. Pua was challenged by the third fastest Worlds Solo rider, who came from Northern California. It is difficult to find 12 hours daylight at this time of year.

Desert Cain, top male, is an outstanding nightime rider and was able maintain daylight pace on the technical course. Pua was beaten by Dan as they entered the final lap. They completed 11 laps in under 11 hours. They did not attempt a 12th lap. Kobin finished 2nd just over half an hour later. The top three swept all solo competitors.

Two clinics/ride-alongs have been scheduled at major retailers next month. These will be held at the respective store locations. You can have a 12.2m billboard with your logo that travels across the country. It will be visible everywhere (races and clinics, training, etc.). Give us a call.
